In this route of about 35 km we will visit the town of Caputh, where Einstein and his family spend their summers before leaving Berlin, ride along lake Templin, and visit the Island of Werder, where we could stop in one of Brandenburg's finest lakeside fish restaurants or buy locally produced traditional apple wines
South west of the city of Potsdam lays the pretty and very calm forest and lake area of the river Havel. Today, this beautiful region on the quiet side of Potsdam provides an wonderful opportunity to explore Prussia's history further through its local culinary delights and romantic stories of Albert Einstein and Prussia's Friedrich Wilhelm I, more commonly known as the Soldier King
This route is easy to reach, starting from Potsdam's main station, and is good for easy to medium fitness. Some route adjustments can be made according to your wishes, so just go ahead and ask!
